Ep#1 Hello from Peter Christo

Written by  Christo in

Hello everyone, I’m Peter Christo, the founder of the Entrepreneur’s Podcast. I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and give you an overview of what this podcast is all about.

Firstly, I have extensive experience in the industry, having founded both successful and unsuccessful startups. Recently, I’ve been working as a commercialisation facilitator for the Australian Government. I’ve noticed that there are many misconceptions surrounding entrepreneurship. Some people view it as a risky or even shady endeavor, while others see it as a miraculous solution to all problems.

In reality, entrepreneurship has various drivers. Some entrepreneurs are driven by innovation, while others are driven by necessity. For instance, inventors consciously apply entrepreneurial processes to create wealth, while some are simply trying to make a living. There are multiple paths to becoming an entrepreneur, and all of them are valid. However, what’s lacking is a deeper understanding of the motivations and challenges that individuals face, especially considering their diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. We can learn a great deal from these stories because most people who contemplate embarking on an entrepreneurial journey encounter similar challenges.

Whether it’s someone being entrepreneurial within a corporation, the typical journey of an entrepreneur with an idea and capital, or individuals pushed into unexpected situations that require innovation, the environment plays a crucial role in the entrepreneurial process.

In today’s complex and volatile market, many people are establishing side hustles. Their ability to provide for themselves and their families often relies on their innovation and entrepreneurial spirit. That’s precisely what I aim to explore and shed light on through this podcast. I want to initiate a conversation and cast a wide net, including stories from around the world, not just the developed countries. Some of the most fascinating entrepreneurial journeys are taking place in developing nations.

If you have any stories that you believe would be interesting for the podcast as we refine our focus, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at [email protected] or through the website entrepreneurship.au. I would love to share your story.

Thank you for your attention, and I hope you enjoy the upcoming episodes of the podcast.
